Do Not Despise these Small Beginnings. I love this Scripture in Zechariah because it shows me just how relatable and personal the Lord is. He knows all of our beginning from the end. He helps in all of the between places, but this Scripture shows His heart in that He rejoices to see us begin! Why?
Every success story starts with a beginning. We all had to start from someplace and move forward from those tiny little steps! My thoughts go back to when my baby boys begin to try to walk. They would slowly let go of the furniture they were using to balance themselves, then teeter on their little tippy toes to make their tiniest first baby step! My husband and I as their parents, would praise them and rejoice with arms opened wide to encourage them to walk to us. They stumbled and fell, and would get back up until they walked more and more. They soon gained confidence and independence until they were practically at a run.
Progression and Success occur when we are consistently making the choice to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving. We can be confident as we walk because we know the Lord is cheering us on with arms opened wide just like my husband and I had done with our boys. The Lord rejoices to see us begin because He knows what He has waiting for us. So my friends in the Words of Zachariah 4:10 (NLT) “Do Not Despise these Small Beginnings for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” I also had to throw the following Scripture in as well, again to show that the Father’s heart concerning you and me. Psalm 37:23 (KJV) The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
