I’m Leaving a Path for Other Wanna be Authors to Follow!

I’m Leaving a Path for Other Wanna be Authors to Follow! I am not being arrogant when I say what I say, but I am posting evidence of my books, journals, planners, diaries, etc. Listen, believe me when I say to you that I understand the mistrust in Publishers, as I personally used a publisher that went out of business. However, things like that can make you bitter or better. This didn’t deter me, I simply had to find a way to continue doing the books that worked for me. Yes, this may sound crazy, but when I was released from my publisher, I feel like it was a key to my freedom as I can now publish a book anytime I desire without waiting a year to do it. I can also market without permission and again waiting for approval! I will always be grateful to my publishing company experience because they taught me the leg work that goes into publishing and how to create my best manuscripts to put into books!

So, I may not have had much knowledge at the beginning of the Publishing Process way back in 2005, but over the years, I have honed my craft. I’ve learned more and more about the process and will continue to be a student especially with all of the new technology that is available to authors! However, because I have carved out a path for myself, I can and desire to leave it for others to follow and to learn. This is why I have helped Authors do their books, to help them learn how to put in the leg work and give them their own publishing Freedom! Below is another list of Books, Journals, Planners, etc that I’ve so enjoyed doing in that it lets me design and use my own artwork in many of them!

Do you have to know all that I know to get started! Absolutely NOT! As a matter of fact, I tell Authors if you have an idea of what you want to write about, write it, let it dump out of you onto pages. Regardless of errors etc., simply get it down. Worry about perfecting it afterward, so that the process will not be hindered! I also encourage them with, “Hey, done is better than none!” When I tell them that, it doesn’t mean that I recommend they put out trash, etc., Absolutely NOT! It means they have to start and finish their first manuscript! Again, regardless of errors, or even researching, all of the perfecting and editing will come later, simply get it down!

If you are an Author, what path do you want to go down? The wonderful thing about being an Author is it’s your choice to choose which path you’ll go down. I highly recommend you find others whom you do trust and learn from them. You do not have to invent the wheel, simply learn from those who are carving out the pathway for you to follow! When You’re Doing Your Purpose, It Doesn’t Feel Like Work!

When You’re Doing Your Purpose, It Doesn’t Feel Like Work! I always try to encourage people to find what their purpose is and to do it with passion. However, for those who do not know what their purpose for being on earth is, I tell them to find what they’re passionate about and do it! Below is the best advice I can give anyone who wants to know how to discover their purpose. :

Ask God? He is your Creator. Simply ask Him to show you what He created you to do? Refer to Psalms 139, as this book in the BIBLE speaks all about you! I am sure you will find a heap of answers in there!
Do an inventory of your life up to this point. What are you passionate enough about that it makes you want to move toward something, such as a goal, a dream or vision? What have you been passionate about in the past or when you were younger that now you’re older you’ve stopped doing? Go visit those innocent childhood passions again.
Faith it! Start putting action to what you want to do. For example, I am an Author and Artist. I started writing when I was a little girl in a tiny little diary…I had to start somewhere. Becoming an artist was the same thing, I would draw and practice drawing until I could make what I was drawing look like something.
Once you discover your Passionate Purpose, add to your natural abilities by learning skillful ways to use them and to help others. This is where your joy will be found as we are all called to serve in some capacity! This is When You’re Doing Your Purpose, and It Doesn’t Feel Like Work

This is what I’ve been pursuing as it is my Passion and Purpose. I teach Art Classes and I Write, Create Books, and Publish them for myself and help others to do the same!

Take Courage if Success is not to be Today, Try Again, it Will Come Tomorrow!

Good morning! Today I was thinking about courage. It takes courage to get up out of bed in the mornings. I know that sound a little drastic, but hey, we live in a world that is full of dramatic and drastic changes every day. Courage is the get-up and go of every success. Without Courage, no chances of success or failure would have ever been attempted. I would rather try and fail than to stay seated and never attempt to succeed. The picture of the squirrel depicts a failed attempt to get birdseed, but if you’ve ever had squirrels at your birdfeeders, you realize really quickly that they do not let failure deter them. They continue to come to that birdfeeder over and over again until they figure it out. They take courage that if success is not to be today, try again, it will come tomorrow, and so it goes with us. Take courage my friends if you’ve made a courageous attempt and it did not work out quite the way that you thought. Pick yourself up and learn from it, and take a deep breath and start again. Take Courage if Success is not to be Today, Try Again, it Will Come Tomorrow!

The Mightiest Oak In the Forest!

Little nut who held its groun

The Mightiest Oak In the Forest was Once a Little Nut that Just Held Its Ground! I know that this quote is a little simple and even a little funny, however, I believe the quote also holds a deeper profound meaning. Are you a little nut?

When the circumstances of life come to uproot your peace or attempt to destroy you or your family, do you know how to hold your ground? Many times until the circumstances come into our lives, we do not know how strong we are. However, I view faith like a muscle. The more you use your faith muscle the stronger faith you have, but much like the muscles in your body, you can’t just go to the gym one time and have rippling muscles, right? No, you must continue to work those muscles to cause them to be built up and strong. So, must you give your faith muscles regular workouts.

There are three things that I have found a must that has helped me to build my faith muscles and stand my ground like this little nut. I numbered them 1-3, however, I feel that all three are equally important and necessary to build my faith and I use all three of them together.

God’s Word: God’s Word is the final authority. Because His Word is unshakable.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When I deposit the Word of God into my spirit, His Word is the nutrition that my faith muscle needs to grow. When I keep putting in the Word and using it by faith it causes me to be stedfast and unmovable. Yes, I am like that little nut who will hold her ground, especially when it comes to my family and friends.
Prayer: Prayer is key to trusting God and believing His Word. Prayer is not just giving God our list and expecting Him to fulfill our every wish. No, prayer is communication between The True and Living God and ourselves where we build a relationship. Because I have His Word and I am in Relationship with Him, I know He can be trusted. All of His Promises are Yes and Amen. So by knowing He is trustworthy, and His Word doesn’t change, and He doesn’t change, It causes me to be strong in faith and again stedfast and unmovable. In prayer, God can direct me and show me what to do, how to do it, or if I need to do anything at all. Because of Him, I can stand my ground.
Worship: I have found worship to be the vehicle between Prayer and God’s Word but also between Heaven and Earth. Worship helps me to get my eyes off of everything and to put them on God who is the one who perfects all that concerns me. He is the One who is all knowing. I worship Him for who He is, not just for what He gives. I worship Him as the Creator of the Universe, the One who has created me and given me a purpose and a plan. He is the One who holds all my days and knows every minute detail about me. I also worship Him in Adoration. He is the One whom my soul loves and I search for Him, in a deep and personal way to love Him more. He is my personal Heavenly Father who loves me with an everlasting love.
Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

My desire for writing my blogs is to always encourage. If you are facing circumstances in your life which may seem too strong for you, I hope that you will begin seeing yourself and your faith as powerful and strong in God. Our God is never surprised by what we are going through and will cause us to triumph if we stand our ground in faith trusting Him to help us. Remember, The Mightiest Oak In the Forest was Once a Little Nut that Just Held Its Ground!

Consistency Wins the Race!

Consistency Wins the Race

Consistency Wins the Race! Have you ever just had a week of being busy, but still it seems like nothing is getting accomplished? Face it, life happens! Sometimes our great plans of what we were going to do for the week, year, or even our lives, simply change. The key is to be willing to roll with the changes! Be consistent in taking the small steps regularly. Yep, that has been my life recently, but yet when I look back I can see that I’ve accomplished much more than I thought I had. I’ve actually made some huge strides toward some goals that I’ve been trying to meet this year by being consistent in doing the small things.

It may sound wonderful to go through life without any bumps in the road, but I believe it would also be very boring! I have found that when the bumps of life happen, I can use them to my advantage. They can show me a true picture of what I am made of. Sometimes they detour me to another pathway that was good for me. I admit there have been some huge bumps at times, so huge in fact; I really never thought that I would make it over them. However, God’s grace is always sufficient for me!

2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

This post is not to brag on how much I’ve gotten done, but rather I want to encourage you to see how much you are getting accomplished! Take time to realize that God is co-laboring with you by making all grace about toward you! I want to encourage you… don’t give up on your goals or dreams, but press in even when it seems that nothing you do is accomplishing much. Do you remember the story of the Tortoise and the Hare? It was the Tortoise that won the race, not the Hare. Why? It wasn’t the speed, but rather, a consistency that caused the race to be won. If you haven’t quit, then you are still in the race, the prize is up ahead! Keep contending! Life is a marathon, not a sprint! Can you see that you too have made great strides? I cheer you on my friend! Again, Consistency Wins the Race!

The Lord will Cause You to Bloom Where He Has Planted You! It is so important to know the timing of the Lord and to be in tune with him. I think of how beautiful spring is when things come alive and beautiful fragrant blooms are everywhere. We enjoy this season, but in order to appreciate it, we’ve gone through a cold, winter where everything seemed bleak and dead. Don’t be discouraged if you’re in a winter season in your life, for your spring will come and you will become that Sweet Fragrant Blossom to those around you!

Song of Solomon 2:10-17 (KJV)

¹⁰My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

¹¹For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

¹²The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

¹³The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

¹⁴O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

Please be encouraged, you will indeed bloom in your season. When a seed is planted it has to go through processes in order to break forth out of the dark ground! Perhaps you have been in process, but please know that your Promise and Blooming Season is on its way! The Lord will Cause You to Bloom Where He Has Planted You!

It is those who refuse to surrender in difficulty that God uses to stand out! God has chosen His Children to Lead and to be pioneers. When we go through life’s difficult times and keep going, we then are examples of hope for those who would follow. God causes His own to stand out and help others who may be going through difficult places in their lives. Let God use you to stand out, adapt to your circumstances, be the light where you are, to help your fellow man!

So, like any other thing that I do, I have to plan for our family’s budget and groceries, especially with two teen-aged devourers of food!

I use to be bad about just trying to wing it and remember what I needed, but many times I would come back home from shopping and realize that I had forgotten what I had actually gone after. Also, I know I could create a list on my phone, but then I would have to dig my reading glasses out etc. so for me, it is much easier just to write everything I needed down and have a place to check off the items to assure I never forgot what I went after. My thoughts were if I needed this to stay on point, I was sure that other Mom’s or Dad’s could benefit from them as well.
