Boomers, Where are Your Booming Voices?

Boomers Where are your Booming Voices? This blog post is to encourage my fellow Baby Boomers.  You were born for such a time as this, you’ve not come this far, to only come this far.   I declare that you are living long, and living strong upon the earth and that you will not be taken out early, but you will live out every bit of God’s purpose for putting you upon the earth.  I break off any lies the enemy may be pronouncing over you and I declare You are not barren, but you will continue to birth and produce fruit in your latter years!  God has called you to Birth Holy Things for His Kingdom in Jesus’ name! You will roar out your testimony and overcome in Jesus’ name!

Revelation 12:11 ^{KJV) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death

Just a few facts I wanted to share that I found: The Phrase “Baby Boomers” refers to a group of persons who were born between 1944 and 1964.  We are currently between the ages of 55-75.  According to statistics, there are approximately 76 million of us in the United States.   So what does that mean to me?  The statistics to me only brings excitement because I think of all of the things we’ve been through from the past  5 ½ to 7 ½ decades, all of the knowledge and wisdom we’ve gained, and our potential to teach our children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, all others throughout our generations. We have much to teach the coming generations!

Don’t get me wrong, that is not to say that the generations after us doesn’t have much that we must learn as well, but many of the things we have experienced, learned, and acquired are sadly being lost and the following generations will not benefit from our lessons and blessings unless we are willing to be the “Booming Voices”, much like that of John the Baptist in the wilderness!

The root word of Boomers is Boom and I wanted to give a summary of the word Boom’s definition.

The word Boom is a noun that refers to a long arm or bar that is used to attach a sail for a boat, or as an extended arm that is used to contain.  It also can refer to a long extended pipe that is used to transfer from one vessel to another such as fuel from one plane to another.

Used as a plural word it is very interesting to me and what caused me to write this article/blog post.

Booms or Boomed is a loud, deep, resonant sound.   The word’s synonyms are reverberation, resonance, thunder, roaring, echoing, pounding, rumble, bellow, blast.

So I ask again Boomers, where is your Booming voice?

Where are your long arms being extended? Have you lost hope of catching a new wind in your sails so as to reach out to your following generations and take them on a journey? Will you share with them what is in your hearts and spirit and give them your life experiences and stories as a precious gift.  Where is your loud, deep, resonant sound or voice to share your life’s experiences and lessons? Where is your reverberation, your resonance, your thunder, your roaring, your echoing, your pounding, your rumble, your bellow, your blast that needs to be heard and felt throughout this generation and to the ones to come?

Has your Booming voice been hushed, stilled, or weakened because you thought no one would listen?  I say to you, it’s not so much about being loud, as it is about being heard.  Shout your story from the rooftop, shout your testimony and your life’s accomplishments until someone listens.  Yes, shout out even your disappointments, mistakes and trials, because as the bar that carries fuel to one plane to another, you are a vessel being poured out someone who needs what you have. You are a vessel created from God the Potter’s own hands to be emptied out for this generation and to all those to come!

It ain’t over yet Baby Boomer, you’ve got too much inside of you! So I ask again, Boomers, Where are your Booming Voices?
