Swallowing Dreams One Bite at a Time!

One Step at a time!

How do you swallow an Elephant? One bite at a time!

Swallow Dreams One Bite at a time! Dreams are meant to be walked out!  But how?  You might ask.  My answer to you is One step at a time…

I heard the joke, how do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time!

Dreams for many of us are like elephants, way too big to fit anywhere in our lives.  Our dreams are usually too big to swallow, too big to hide and shove down and way too big to fulfill on our own.   Isn’t it amazing, though, that they fit perfectly in our imagination and heart.  You can see them in everything you do and they are more real to you than anything else that you know. You desire it more than anything else, but still, it seems elusive.  The most unhappy people I’ve met are those who have decided that their dreams were just too big and too crazy and so they just gave up on ever fulfilling them.

Jeremiah 29:11  (KJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

You know that I found that my craziest dreams, meaning dreams that were as huge as elephants and dreams that seemed to be delusional and impossible were the very dreams that the Lord himself had birthed into my life.  These are the dreams that I know I can’t fulfill on my own.  These are the dreams that I know are not possible unless God makes provision, sets me up with divine appointments and connections and provides funds for me to do it.  But I have great news for you! God is not a respect of persons! If He did it for me, he’ll do it for you!   I will not go into all of the details about God’s miraculous provision, or how he made divine appointments for me.  You know what I am talking about people want to call it “being at the right place at the right time” or “meeting the right person.” I know when I have Holy encounters that were set up divinely.  It wasn’t fate, chance, or coincidence,  it was my Heavenly Father providing for me so that I can fulfill my dreams which give Him glory and points to his goodness…

Big Dreams require continuous steps forward to see them become reality! Being an author is one such dream that I thought was so huge and impossible for me to obtain, but here I sit with several books published, with many more finished and ready to go.   I simply took one bite at a time and now I have got a good part of an elephant dream swallowed as far as actually writing and getting published and making an impact.  Going on the adventure of where the books will take me is another elephant and so on and so on, but one bite at a time, one step at a time with the Lord’s hand leading me, I’m swallowing hard and making great strides! Hello, Christine Gilliam Hornback, here. I find it amazing that 2018 is moving right along so quickly! I really think it is because I have hit the ground running, chasing my Dreamlife, how about you? How was your 2017? I hope it was productive and that you have fulfilled many of your dreams! However, if you didn’t quite reach them I want to encourage you. How can you know where you’re going if you don’t know where you came from? I am sure you’ve heard that question several times in your lifetime, but all too many times we’ve lived in the past and know exactly where we came from. Many of us have even camped out there in regret! However, Now it is time to forget the past and began to live in 2018 the Year of New Beginnings! This is the year of Breakthrough! I think one of the first things to help others with is with focus. The Bible is a place I go to get focused. In the Word of God, there is no limit to what we can accomplish regardless of our age. That encourages me to know that it is never too late to conceive a new dream or to fulfill an old one. The Bible teaches focus because the Lord himself wanted to encourage his people by giving them something specific to focus on. He told Abram to look at the stars and sands to focus on His promise that he would be Father of many nations. He changed his name so that every time he told someone his name He was calling himself Father of Many Nations when at the time he didn’t even have a child. I believe when women conceive a baby that they have something before them to focus on. He wants us to write our vision/Dreamlife down so that we can focus on them and literally birth our dreams!

Habakkuk 2: 2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
