I Help Authors Birth Their Babies!

It is such an honor when someone asks me to help them do their books. Because I myself am an Author, I seriously compare it to birthing a baby, as we carry these things for a long time before they are delivered to the world. I can not help everyone who desires to do a book, but I do the ones that I feel the Lord allows me to be apart of.

I wanted to share this precious book with you my audience because of the story behind it.  This precious lady, now in her Eighties, had gotten her book published before, however, the publisher that published it for her went out of business.  Unfortunately, she couldn’t order any more copies or anything, so the only choice she had was to republish.  However, most of the beautiful graphics, etc. were copyrighted and she really had to start over.  This was where I came in, being honest, and having no idea how long it would take me to complete everything, finally, we hit Publish and her wonderful book “baby” is the result!

He’s in Your Waiting!

He’s in the Waiting! Another day has passed and do you find yourself anxious, wondering if God is going to come through for you this time?  We all have worried and have been concerned when things seemingly fall apart, especially when it is out of our ability to fix it!  Hold on because your answer is on its way. God is in the waiting! Yes, while we are waiting upon God, honestly He is waiting on us! He patiently waits for us to come to Him and realize that He is our answer.

Have you just had an issue and you lost night after night of sleep trying to solve it? Have you thrown money at a problem that seemed to suck you dry?  Have you told everyone your problem to see if they could come up with a solution?  Have you found yourself being critical of others when they are being blessed, while you strive to try to make your circumstances change?  Have you worried yourself into anxiety attacks to where you were physically ill?  Finally, when you couldn’t solve your problems and no one else could help you, did you find yourself angry at God and accusing Him of withholding from you?

How did I know to ask all of these questions?  Well, my friend, I’ve been there!  My answer was yes to every question, however, I have more questions to ask that are even more important!  Have you ever gone through all of the above and then suddenly you saw something or heard something about God’s word or His promises and like a lightbulb being flipped on, you could see the light?  Have you ever literally gone to Father God and asked Him to teach you how to trust Him.  Has He ever then reminded you of all the things you’ve already been through and helped you to realize that you’ve gone through much but you’re still standing and the reason you’re standing was that you trusted Him?  You may feel like you’re standing on weakened legs right now, but you’re still standing.   Or better yet, maybe you are kneeling, as you realized that all of the times you stood strong in the past, was when you were kneeling and waiting upon God.  Do you remember when all other times when you were waiting and He met you there?  Do you remember how sweet His presence was?  God hasn’t changed, so if you’re having to wait upon Him, be steadfast and unmovable for He is in your waiting.  He will come again to meet you and strengthen you as He has done in the past.  Suddenly you will see a solution, or He will just totally take care of that situation with one brush of your tear.  He is here, waiting, won’t you come? He is in the waiting!

What is scarier?

Choice=Change

What is scarier to you, staying stuck in the same place year after year, or finally biting the bullet and making a choice to step forward into something new and unfamiliar?  What is more difficult, choosing to step forward even after you’ve realized you’ve made no progress toward your ideal life and remain unhappy and discontent? Or make a choice that regardless of what happens, stepping out would be better than being discontent the rest of your life?

Why isn’t the obvious choice made quicker? …FEAR!   Change and unfamiliarity for most always mean that you must make a choice.   Sometimes, it is easier to be miserable and blame our circumstances on us staying stuck instead of choosing to do something different! OUCH!  Yes, I am being tough, but I am coming from a place where fear stole many years of my life!  Fear is my enemy!  Whether you believe it or not, Fear is your worst enemy as well!   I say that because if you’ve not moved in years toward something that you know would make you happier then FEAR has won many of the battles.  Would you not agree?    Even though what you’re doing is not working, would you rather be miserable and stay stuck?  Or finally  say, “Enough is Enough!” Defeating fear begins with a made up mind and a choice!

I am here to cheer you on, not to point fingers!  I know what is it is like to be scared of change, so much so that for many years,   I was practically a recluse.

Because I was afraid to face my fears, I was practically paralyzed.  I chose to live in fear until I “became sick and tired of being sick and tired!”  I had great desires of an Idyllic future, but when I actually thought about what I had to do to get to that wonderful future, I would shrink back in fear until another year had passed.

Finally, I  made the decision mentioned above!  I said, “Enough is Enough!”   I made a courageous decision to do something about it!  Was I terrified?  Absolutely!  However, I also felt alive!   I was excited for the first time in years and seen that I could go forward even if it was one tiny step at a time!  Even with my knees knocking together, I could do it!  Again I cheer you on because I know YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

I wanted to share my story with you!  Yes, it is real and raw, and I know the video is not professionally done, but this is my story!  I hope that it encourages you that you too can make a decision that can change your life forever!

My Latest Book “If Oak Trees Could Talk”

This is a little excerpt from my latest book soon to be published entitled “If Oak Trees Could Talk”

 

“Whether the story was really that long or if it was the southern drawl or perhaps the way Henry turned phrases was questionable, however again it didn’t much matter as it was free entertainment in a small town with not much else to do but shoot the breeze.    Every day, friends, family and even a few occasional strangers would gather around the counter at Henry’s hardware store when he would begin one of his elaborate tales.  They listened in anticipation of being thoroughly entertained, but not before they buried their arms down into a huge barrel full of ice-cold soda pop and bought a greasy brown paper sack of Henry’s famous hot boiled peanuts.  They sipped their colas and ate their peanuts while listening to Henry and watching every lively expression!  When they left the Hardware store they usually walked away from the experience having bought several hardware items that they really didn’t have need of.  However, they also left his store with huge smiles on their faces and their heads shaking in disbelief as the stories got a little wilder with the telling of them!” ~Written by Christine Gilliam Hornback
